USING DATA

  • How do I know what I’m allowed to do with data I buy?

Your rights to use the data are governed by a licence that has been drafted by the data provider. When you purchase data, you need to confirm that you accept the terms of the licence.

  • What if there’s a problem with data I’ve purchased?

If there’s a problem with data you’ve purchased, we recommend that you contact the data provider as soon as possible to try to find an amicable solution.

In situations where you can’t resolve the issue amicably, you can file a complaint against the seller within 30 days of your purchase. Complaints sent after the 30-day warranty period will unfortunately not be processed. You can read more about this procedure here.

  • What happens when I file a complaint?

When you file a complaint, the first action we take is to freeze the seller’s earnings related to that sale. A Databroker mediator then investigates the complaint, working with you and the seller to try to come to an agreement.

If an agreement can’t be reached, the mediator will make a final, binding decision. If the complaint is deemed valid, we’ll reimburse the amount you paid. You can read more about this procedure here.
